Malaga technology Aliquindoi prepares its internationalization after reaching the break in its first year of life. This is the balance between costs and revenues, which has been reached after the half a million it billed during 2023. A figure that allows this company to plan its next step. The software development specialist software to verify the status of second-hand mobile phones is already studying their landing in other countries. “We have operated in Spain for a matter of focus and not burned resources until we were all prepared to climb,” says Felix Martín, CEO of the firm.
Where to? “In principle it would be Europe, the interesting markets in which we see opportunity are the United Kingdom or France,” Martin says. However, it does not rule out the landing in Africa of this technology company of Malaga origin. “As a point of reference and entry would be the South African market,” says the CEO of this firm, who plans to invoice 1.2 million euros in this financial year after multiplying its number of employees by five.
The intention to internationalize the product is linked to another issue that the company maintains on the exit ramp. This is what Martín cites as “producation,” that is, preparing the service in such a way that it can be scaled without manually adapting to the needs of the client, but that it can configure it. “Once we produce we will go to medium and even small business,” adds the CEO of technology in conversation with Malaga Hoy.
Aliquindoi is currently a supplier of two major telephone operators in Spain, through which they support about 1,000 stores spread across the national geography. In addition, among its customers, there are also several major marketplaces, e-commerce channels and high-consumption and retail chains. I know you’ve raised them to the current market position.
Artificial intelligence to detect damage
“It’s not easy for a company that makes software platforms break up a year if you create that for that you have to maintain an extreme focus,” says Martin, who recognizes that the company’s name can become a problem in internationalization: “We would love to keep it. The foreigner costs him, but once he doesn’t forget it,” argues the CEO of this firm that landed at BIC Euronova during the spring of 2023.
In the same context, Aliquindoi is open to looking for segments beyond electronics and developing scalable software models for other economic sectors. For the time being, however, the company’s next steps are focused on improving the integration of innovative technology through a predictive algorithm to measure the probability of component failures and improving the recognition of physical damage from terminals.
